A piece of everyday history rather than a rarity: this is the Royal Mint's 1965 crown, struck to mark the death of Winston Churchill, with Elizabeth II on the obverse and Churchill on the reverse. Millions were minted at the time, so it sits firmly in souvenir territory rather than serious numismatics, but there is something quietly satisfying about holding a coin from that particular moment in British history. Cupro-nickel, silver-grey in tone, with the expected sixty years of handling behind it. Condition is honestly circulated — moderate wear to the high points, light knocks to the edges, and a scatter of small green oxidation spots on both faces from age rather than mistreatment. A modest, characterful little object for a collection, a gift, or simply a desk drawer. Collection near Glasgow, or delivered by courier.
